Centric Design is a new division of Lounge Innovation;  a quality manufacturer of furniture for over 40 years made here in Australia.  Centric Designs is all about well designed, comfortable furniture that is totally suitable for anyone and especially the older population (or older people).

Our focus has been centred on “design thinking” to explore and problem solve the challenges that many people encounter in finding appropriate furniture. We understand the role furniture assists in aged care facilities complying with aged care quality standards but our research tells us that comfort has been sadly compromised.  Many designs in the market today suit function without addressing comfort.

Centric Designs has a unique system that focuses on comfort even when using waterproof fabrics. By the use of different layers of cushioning we provide targeted pressure relief whilst also maintaining comfortable body temperature - which is important for someone who is seated for long periods of time.

We are so pleased to be introducing this new exciting range that has come about through talking, listening and understanding the needs of the users.  So much research on seating tells us that there is still a disconnect between comfort and usability such as sit to stand and function.
